Mixed emotions flowed at the end of the day at Willunga, with the A Grade having a great win over the Demons but the other sides left somewhat wanting. They need to look at how the big boys went about the game to see just what is needed if the finals are to be a success in September.
The Colts grades both looked a bit under manned as the took on the Dees but the good news is they have a number of weeks to get things back on track and fix what needs fixing. The finals loom big and the boys can fix what needs fixing take the weekend’s games as lessons to be learnt, apply those lessons over the next couple of home and away games, not taking them seriously is a certain recipe for disaster, so you need to apply yourselves boys. |

Finals are getting so close you can almost smell them. With only three weeks left in the home and away the Roosters are away the next two and home the last round of the season. Then it’s “bring it on” time!
The weather held off until early evening when it unleashed its fury with a downpour you would expect to see in the tropics, not Strathalbyn. During the day it threatened and the breeze was a little tricky but it was, in all, not a bad day for footy.
The colts in both grades gave the lads from Myponga a bit of a lesson, with the Junior Colts taking the maximum points they are heading into next week’s match with perfect preparation and with no need to be over awed by the Demons.
Similarly, the Senior Colts, also taking the max points are primed and should be pumped to continue with the great form. Both games are must wins and will lock the sides at 3rd on the ladder for rest of the season and give them the double chance. So it’s up to you boys take them on and give it a go and make it happen. |
